with your modified hc theme, have you made sure to change highcontrast=X to highcontrast=0? that should change some of the issues that flag can cause, while leaving you with changeable text.

I noticed you used hc3, however if you change the highcontrast=3 to 0, it still honors the color codes for 'normal' windows. The danger in using highcontrast=x where x>0, is you will run into apps and browsers that honor hc when rendering style sheets. Not pretty. As to explorer, I'd...
