Problem: when moving or copying mails from one folder to another (specially when moving/copying from one account to another) WMV hangs after third or fourth copying/moving process. As prevention I have to select any folder of another account after the third copying/moving process before doing...
As said: it was the first time here that a Windows Update caused the non-functioning ... The reason is that I never used Windows 7 and Windwos 10. I jumped from Windows Vista directly to Windows 8.1 and then to Windows 11 – and in Windows 8.1 that problem never occurred. So I just was not...
Thanks – I just wanted to clarify that it will still work on 22h2 as I was not sure. I knew that big updates are a problem, but it's the first time that an update caused such a crash on one of my PCs that I was not prepared to ... but it seems that I did all as it should be so far ...
Today M$ made an auto-update to W11/22h2 and destroyed the Windows Mail folder in the Program Files, deletet/replaced some of the program files and renamed msoe.dll to msoe.dll.nouse ... nothing is working anymore: it was removed from tastbar, program itself was deleted, and starting a copy...
Does anyone already have made experiences with eMail OAuth2 Proxy to use with GMail and has some kind of not too complicated step-by-step manual? Going through all that seems to be a nightmare ... GitHub - simonrob/email-oauth2-proxy: An IMAP/SMTP proxy that transparently adds OAuth 2.0...
Google hat announced to turn off "less secure apps" by 30th of May 2022 – they did it on 7th of June (yesterday). Btw.: there should be a (theoretical) possibility to circumvent that with "Google App Passwords"; but to use that you need to activate 2FA – but 2FA needs a phone number to work; a...
Next problem: google will turn off "less secure apps" by May 30 and kick out any use of eMail clients that only use "username & password" – and WMV is affected ... Google will force to use "more secure technology" ... is there a way to make WMV capable of (any kind of) "enhanced google...
I wonder what I should have done wrong (besides my first tries when I did not completely follow your tutorial) – as WMV is working fine here on more than one PC in german language and also on W11 – apart from some minor issues discussed here ...
Some two, three years ago I had to evaluate...
As said: even if the workaround is not really "offline mode" (but just "no connection to server") it is possible to work with it. So the main problem is intercepted.
Btw: I not only wanted to inform that I run into the mentioned problem (of crashing in offline mode) – even if it is already...
As said: I need to access mails (and so to run WMV) even then when there is no internet connection (I cannot change it that it is not always available). I just need to get access to the (already downloaded) mails with their attachments. The main problem is: as soon as you start WMV and click to...
I do not always have internet here. Today I had the situation that I had to prepare a reply of a mail with attachment that I got yesterday. I just wanted to save the attachment of the mail – checking for new eMails was not the task to be done. The problem: as there was no internet (as I do not...
There are two "methods" for "offline mode": do not have a network connection and be forced to the dialogue – or manually select "offline mode" over the file-menue. In both there is an immediate crash&quit as soon as offline mode is confirmed (in the dialogue or when selecting it from the menue)...
Immediate crash&quit when trying to go into offline mode if there is no network connection available on Windows 11. Workaround is a nework-connection without internet-connection (as any kind of WLAN-Router that is not connected to the internet).
OK, so I have to work with that what I have here ... as mentioned it'll be the same as last time (cf. Post # 663) ... that was working, even when not exactly what you tell here. And as long as it is working ...
I need to install WInMail-Vista for both Win8.1 and Win10 in German, French, Italian language in both x86 (32 bit) and x64 (64 bit). I have running Windows Vista here and install DVDs in both x86 and x64. Btw.: I so far used the installed files from an existing installation with some special...
OK, thanks – working ... :)
On the one hand is it what I was thinking of – but I expected to set the "user defined" color onto black and keep it "user defined". The weird thing now is that the setting "user defined" is no longer available after having chosen any of the available colors ... (as...
How to change default font color in WinMail (Windows Mail from WIndows Vista used on Windows 7/8/10)?
Default font color is set to "user defined" in the settings and appears actually as a clear olive that is badly visible (on any background color).
How to change that default font color (to not...
:) :D
I did not expect attachements ... :) ... I am used to that needed files are linked in the text itself as external files to download form some other website ... so I just did not pay attention that there might be direct attachements ...
lol :D ... as said - I did, but did not realize that...
