I havent been here in ages myself. I have since moved to Linux Mint KDE on my machines. I find it works better for what I do than Windows. More freeware available for it and has many things that I need built in so hardly any downloading and adding or apps is done. LibreOffice works great...
Can you plug in a USB mouse just for the time being?
IF you can, go to your mouse settings and look to see if there is an option to disable the trackpad. Many laptops have this option, and also have an option to auto-disable the trackpad when a USB mouse is connected.
What do you mean flashing issue? I don't understand what you are trying to get at with this.
Second Life requires a fair amount of VRAM for its graphic performance. If you have a card with limited VRAM, your best bet would be to upgrade the card. Otherwise it may be a cache issue. Look around...
The mic itself may have died. Is this a set where the headphones and mic use the same plug or are they separate plugs? If the latter is true, it may require some more configuration.

In that case I'm not sure. Unless it has a discrete card, you will likely have to send it in for repairs or buy a new one.

I would look at the graphics hardware itself. Without drivers installed for it, the computer is using very little if any of its capabilities which is why it doesn't crash it. Once you install the drivers it goes into full effect which will cause issues if there is something wrong with the card...
That's interesting that it doesn't show an option to turn off the Bluetooth. If you look at your laptop, there should either be a hard switch or a fn + key combo to disable it. Have you tried this?

Did you check the settings for Bluetooth on your phone? You may have to be explicitly allow file transfer there and maybe even on the laptop as well.
