Same here. The Linux compatible dbase is even outdated, when it comes to trying to find EOL hardware.
As long as everyone keeps each other in the loop on here, for what hardware does and does not work. Is going to be our best bet.
Itaregid, sorry for being late on updating. Been dealing with body issues (severe pain), along with working on getting 6rd Tunneling working with my Cisco Gateway (done and working great). Also the wife got a new toy (stupid Neato Robot Vac), that I am ready to chuck out the door, because the...
I did not state for the OP to install DirectX. In their case, they had to use DxDiag to troubleshoot why GPU hardware Acceleration was not working. It does not matter what version of Windows they are using. If they do not want a 64 bit version of Windows 10, that is their choice.
This topic...
I cannot solve your issue, because I have not way to physically sit at your place and troubleshoot.
Also this involves you actually taking ownership of the issue and walk through all steps possible.
Last is that I will not continue on this matter, because you have ordered me to fix your...
It has nothing to do with the version of Windows. It has to do with the OS may not be able to take advantage of GPU Hardware acceleration for some reason.
Run Dxdiag in Run. Run DirectX Diagnostic Tool
Also check bios settings if it is onboard GPU.
If it is just the keyboard thst is bad, depending on how difficult it is to pull the bad one and put in a new one, depends on how comfortable you are in doing so.
Keyboards run about $19-30, depending on the laptop. It does not take much for them to break these days.
If you are not...
Home Group was never meant to be for Windows XP. Home Group was Microsoft's way of trying to make network sharing more dummy proof, by using Library's to connect to, instead of just mapping a floder.
With the Library's, you can include multiple folders. Mapped Network Shsred and Home Groups...
There is only one company that makes the keyboards now. When mine went out on my laptop. It took a month and about six keyboards, to get one that was not damaged or broke.
They kept men in the loop the whole time, which was great.
That is because Microsoft has not updated their Driver Signature for AMD's Crimson, which is the newer control panel.
Let AMD know. They may want some log ifo from you, when they respond.
Check the Forums at amd.com, to see if others are getting the same behavior.
We cannot discuss this subject, because there is no way to verify if you actually own it.
Because it is a Live account, you are stuck using a USB stick with Windows 8.1 for a repair.
Try connecting a USB keyboard and see if that works. In order to get it fixed. You can send it off to Dell and spend almost $300 for a repair covered by repair warranty. Or you can order the keyboard yourself for around $35 and do it yourself.
Some laptops require you to pretty much guy...
You should be able to connect to the folder still as a regular network share, regardless of Homegroup.
The only thing that could stop you, would be third party Internet Security Software. Along with if you have the network connection set as Public not Private.
Some Hybrid drives will show that, but the OS never touches it. Really helps if you post the model and mfg info for the drive.
20 meg is really nothing in today's society.
Helmut, nothing in my house needs repaired. It has been a long known fact that Microwaves affect the 2.4 Ghz band.
There is nothing that "Leaks" from anything that emits RFI/EMI. We are surrounded all day long by radio waves on this planet.
You are sharing the Library's, which are basically shortcuts that can go to multiple folders under them.
If you do not want Homegroup, then "Leave" it.
