Alright, glad you fixed it nevertheless :). It's a shame I couldn't find the graphics card that the machine has online. It was annoying, just kept getting "Integrated Intel® HD Graphics"

Well issue is that your graphics cards drivers are't installed, nor detected! So you are stuck with Basic Display Adapter Drivers I had a look at the specs and it says "Integrated Intel® HD Graphics" which isn't helpful as there are different models of the Integrated Intel® HD Graphics

A reinstalled fixed everything. Just need to install drivers from the Asus Installation Wizard and I am done I would give you rep but I can't.

Yes the system came with Windows 8 and I updated to 8.1 originally The issue started after I did the anytime upgrade to 8.1 pro. But now I am just going to clean install 8.1

Windows 8.1. What I was doing before was applying the recovery wim using dism. (which was 8.0) I then installed Windows 8.0 and all of its updates. I then upgrade to Windows 8.1, installed all 8.1 updates. Then did anytime upgrade from 8.1 Core to 8.1 Pro. Then upgraded to Windows 10 Preview

It didn't work. I was going to look in the recovery's install.wim to see if it had it setup there, but it didn't. Also just to confirm which dism command do I run?

I disabled all startup items and I still don't see any of my other apps that should be shown in task manager. However, this time on;y Asus Smart Gesture has loaded. But I still would like all my startup apps to be shown in the startup tab. Like all my asus apps and skype / steam

will disable all 3rd party stuff now. Also, the Won6432Node's Run just showed Adobe and vmware. and not the other 3 items that show in taskmgr

The startup folders are empty (User's startup folder and the one in programdata) and the keys in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run only show the three startup items that appear in task manager

I've tried that, and all folders are there

So I loaded up autoruns and found that there is a steam service running on start up, as well as skype update service. But nothing related to the steam client or the skype client, disabling the services makes no difference
