Shawn this is already MUCH MUCH better :)
If I may, I would rather do without the second of waiting since I can easily verify from the (plane or WiFi) tray icon that clearly shows which mode is currently on.
I will send you a PM now.
Thanks a bunch :)
Howdy Shawn :) and thanks for your kind suggestion.
I did try them but (warning "lazy mode" enabled - warning "lazy mode" enabled) what I was really looking for was a single icon to click (one click to turn on and the next click to turn off).
The reason why I am looking for that "toggle"...
Is there any tool/utility that toggles the WiFi on and off (I mean with just 1 click)?
In XP I had a very handy shortcut sitting in my quick launch bar that did just that (1 click = enable, the following click = disable). Win 8.1 does not support anything that easy?
Thanks for any creative...
You are right (I am an idiot... The embarrassed emoticon cannot express it enough)... These errors came up when I installed the wrong version :o
When I installed the right version (SHA1: D9F611C54F913165204C0E772E35F6F313414FE5) the results where practically unnoticeable, and yes, I did run the...
Thanks for the kind suggestions and (mostly THANKS) for having developed the A-M-A-Z-I-N-G Classic Shell.
To install Aero Glass for Win8 v.1.0 (Big Muscle) I started by disabling Secure Boot in the BIOS (as required).
At the end of the installation I rebooted (as prompted).
After reboot I was...
Hello :)
Can anyone recommend a way (or a tweak) to obtain a nice glassy taskbar in Win 8.1 like the one in the picture below? I already have all components (start button, clock etc.) but I do not like the boring Win 8 taskbar!
Since I only need the taskbar and no other customizations/themes...
I am going to check all drivers (not only the video one) but I fear that it might be something else since I just bought the notebook not even 2 months ago so I can hardly think its divers are outdated.
Hey Jerry,
I noticed a problem in the "Thin_RB_Line_Hightlights" theme.
When I try to rename a file/folder, the name is masked by a blue solid stripe and the renaming operation becomes very difficult.
The same happens in every line/menu/dialog/path that I select in any program on the same...
I understood that and that's why in my previous post I wrote "it appears that there is quite a lot of software/hardware difference" (I use Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit on a notebook and you use Windows 8 Pro 64 bit on a desktop).
Thanks for having confirmed that you applied all updates/hotfixes.
Well it appears that there is quite a lot of software/hardware difference since I am running Win 8.1 Pro on an Asus notebook and I only use the integrated touchpad.
I did try a wired mouse and the results are the same :(
Did you install any particular hotfix on your Lenovo desktop?
Well, then you are lucky, it looks like that on your system the mouse pointer works properly :)
Is that a notebook or a tablet?
Do you use an external mouse or a touchpad?
Which version of Win 8.1 Core/Pro/Ent?
Any hotfixes installed?
Thanks
Hi Jerry,
I have tested your "The BB_Line_Hightlights" (Highlights) theme only after I prepared and uploaded the picture with the screenshots, so if for you it is easier/quicker to just change the highlight to the red rectangular outline, do that.
If for you it's less work to do the blue...
The BB_Line_Hightlights is nice but if you can, please turn the selected line to red (the blue selection and the black highlight are too similar).
Thanks :)
I sent you a new PM with a picture that should clarify everything.
I am not talking about web pages, I continuously see my mouse (actually touchpad) cursor not snapping to the default button in several dialog boxes.
One of the many examples (please test this on your system and tell me whether it works for you): Merge a reg file, you double-click the reg file...
