I, too, hope they stay with the numbers.

It takes time - and time is money - to program things. MS is not going to spend the money to appeal to a relatively few when you consider the overall market. What's left of my generation is a not a force in the computer market place.

I like the aero concept; but I do not care for most of MS's aero themes. I am definitely am NOT looking for an XP look alike. I just prefer a more utilitarian and functional look. However, I realize that MS is not trying to appeal to my generation; nor should they be.

I think that is a safe assumption! :D

I hope to have a new computer by then so I can play with the test builds.

I, too, am not a fan of the aero themes. I don't mind the glitz; but the themes are not my style. I created my own to suit me. It will be interesting to see what GUI Win 8 comes out with.
