This situation is new. Microsoft delete Administrator tab with Windows Defender build 126.96.36.199.
İf you have not Group Policy because of Windows edition you can use regedit files which I gave download link 3 posts before or you can wait Brink's update.
At the last version of Defender on Windows 8.1 Settings/Administrators tab was removed by Microsoft. Can you update tutorial?
As a little contribution I uploaded necessary reg files here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/l26dbxzovpplhr5/Disable%20Windows%20Defender.rar?dl=1
If your computer doesn't boot because of error it can be important change this settings on boot. And It will be better add "Option Four" like this;
1- Open CMD on boot.
2- Type regedit (Enter)
3- Select HKLM in the registry tree, and go to the File menu and click Load Hive
If you use first option for a wireless network (Ex. Bring) and than if you need to use option 2 for same wireless network (Bring) before you have to clear "Allow" permission. If you not, you will have "This filter already exists in the allow list on the system." error.
Yes it weird. But there is a workarround:
You can set IE default browser for only HTTP file extension. In this way you can use another browser as default (Mostly) but Windows still think IE is default browser :)
So you can use Modern Internet Explorer 11 and sync feature
Sorry I'm only posting for mistakes but be sure that only for better eightforum :)
is wrong. Windows 8.1 ok need new installation but in fact only a Windows 8 update. Therefore all windows 8 versions keys is legit for same Windows 8.1 edition. (For example, W8 PRO to W8.1 PRO) I'm...
First of all thank you for all this amazing tuttorials and big effort :)
For this one I have some little correction with your permission :)
1- Step 5/a, 5c and 5/d is unnecessary. Because until first restart install wizard allready copy all necessary files to a temp...
I think you miss it;
In Windows 8 (Also 8.1 or 8.1 Update 1) File Explorer have native .vhdx support. Therefore just double click on vhdx file. File Explorer will open it (Of course with assigned a drive letter)
And for detach, only right cilck SSD in File explorer and click Eject
Why we don't use only explorer.exe parameter?
For example: "explorer.exe xboxgames://", "explorer.exe bingsearch://" etc.
This option also protect you annoying cmd windows :)
Am I missing something?
