You can continue as long as you don't re-boot your system. It does not save your high scores after a restart.

It is included with Windows 8 and is right on the metro screen. I just got another high score of 167,213,334

I had the same problem when first signing in, the solution was to use my "Windows Live" password. I think I'm adjusting well to the new Metro style. I do wish for a "shutdown" tile myself though.
