Test if you have Superfish, Komodia or PrivDog

I've had PriviDog installed for sometime now - part of Comodo Firewall. Not really thought too much about it, no advertising noticed anywhere and it appeared to be blocking lots of tracking cookies etc. Firefox popped up tonight with a warning with a tick box to disable the software and as I...

I have an older Asrock N7AD-Sli motherboard which by today's standards is well out of date and not supported by Win 8/8.1. It functions very well on the generic drivers supplied by Windows but no Coprocessor driver - no ill effects from it but it still bugged me. I managed to resolve it by...

    My bourbon barrel arrived!!

Strwth, that's one serious bit of kit. I can remember many moons ago making my own basic beer which consisted of packets of yeast and a plastic bin. The end results - nothing to shout about but worth the effort;) Strangely enough I always remember those times, living in a bedsit watching "Kids...

My computer can't boot after uninstalling chipset driver

Have you got a Win 8 disk or is there a recovery partition on your laptop? I don't own a laptop but I think you can boot to the recovery partition through the bios. Sometimes hitting F8 many times can bring up the safe mode option. This might be an interesting read for Acer laptops...
