The biggest problem with the WD My Books is that they use hardware encryption by default. If the PCB controller board goes bad then it is almost impossible (but can be done) to recover any data since the encryption key is imbeded into the board. You can't just replace the board as you can on...
It's WD's fault with faulty software/firmware allowing the drive to be hacked, so all they can do is update the software.
They sure as hell can't replace your data. I would never use one of those drives.
Install it it's needed.

Do you have an shortcut on the desktop? Right click it and copy. Past it back to the desktop. Rename it File Explorer. (unless you already have the file explorer shortcut on the desktop then name it File Explorer 2)
Right click it select properties and edit the two items "Target and Start in"...
Right click the desktop > New > Shortcut. Enter info.
I guess an easier way would be to copy and past back to the desktop any shortcut. Rename it to whatever then edit the properties for Target and Start in.
