    Kaspersky

I've had Kaspersky Internet Security since I've owned my current computer (2yrs in May). It's done a good job for me.

All browsers eat over 1GB of memory

I have 10GB but that's not the problem. The browsers stutter and then freeze.

Solved PS/2 mouse stops responding, needs unplug and replug

You can look at my system specs. HP H8-1534 ENVY. No PS/2. 4 USB2 in the back. 2 USB2 in the front. 2 USB3 on top.

Solved PS/2 mouse stops responding, needs unplug and replug

PS/2? I don't have any of those ports in my box. I would suggest (as above) getting a powered USB hub.

    No, nothing like that.

All browsers eat over 1GB of memory

I've looked at everything that's listed and there are no usual programs running. I have a pretty good idea what should/shouldn't be running. I done the same with Win95, Win98, XP and now 8. When I fired them up for the first time, I opened Task Manager and noted what was running. If I didn't...

All browsers eat over 1GB of memory

I downloaded Process Explorer (and ran it) but I don't know what I'm supposed to do with it, or be looking for. Sitting here with 1 tab (this site) open, Firefox is using 229MB. 8 tabs open, usage is 480MB.

All browsers eat over 1GB of memory

I reset Firefox, didn't fix the problem. And this was in safe mode.

All browsers eat over 1GB of memory

Sorry I took so long to get back, stuff going on. I did start in safe mode and it made no difference. :(

All browsers eat over 1GB of memory

Programs running: Firefox 43 (1 window open) Mailwasher Pro Thunderbird Malwarebytes Premium Kaspersky TrayCD Windows Desktop Gadgets (killing it makes no difference). This started a couple weeks ago. I posted a question at Mozilla https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1103002 and did...

All browsers eat over 1GB of memory

Hilarious-Gifs / Funny n Hilarious GIF The longer I'm there, the amount of memory goes up. 20 tabs open? Perhaps with Firefox 30, not now.

All browsers eat over 1GB of memory

I'm really getting sick of this crappola. Firefox, Chrome and IE all use massive amounts of memory when I'm on a graphics rich page. If I'm on a page with a lot of animated gifs, the amount of ram usage climbs (fast). Then the browser starts stuttering and will hardly scroll. Then they...

YouTube video freezes Firefox at ONE forum only

This is to bizarre. One forum I go to, if I try to play an embedded YouTube video, Firefox freezes. I go to another forum and no problem, embedded video plays fine. If I go to YouTube itself, videos play fine. Windows 8.1 Kaspersky Internet Security Malwarebytes Premium Firefox 41 (happened...

User account not the original one

This isn't (now) a real issue, but am curious as to what happened. Before the 10 upgrade mess, my account was a Microsoft Live account. When I upgraded to 10, I did something and had to logout. When I tried to log back in, my account used my hotmail account. That's when I had to use the Macrium...

Scared and Very Confused - Windows 10

For me, the problem has been solved. It was a tedious process that took about 3hrs. But it's done. The BT folder and everything that was in it, gone. I hid the relevant updates and set Windows Update to notify, not to download/install. Update now shows that I can download/install 10, I don't...

Scared and Very Confused - Windows 10

The horror, the horror. I've been trying to delete the BT folder. I've been having to take ownership of each and every file plus the folder it's in. That's going to take untold hours. Anyone have a batch file that would work? TIA

Scared and Very Confused - Windows 10

Thanks for the reply. I finally found the BT folder. Don't see the WS folder anywhere. Problem is, I can't delete multiple files in said folder. I've taken ownership (supposedly of main folder and all files). My account is Administrator. Still can't delete the files.

Scared and Very Confused - Windows 10

Removing all the updates pertaining to 10 was a waste of time. Unregistering was a waste of time. Scripts were a waste of time. I just got a popup notifying me that it would install in 59 minutes. I pushed it off for a couple more days. &^$* you Microsoft. I'm really beginning to think...
