Windows 8.1 upgrade error: "We can't connect right now...Check your Internet connection and try again".

I downloaded the Windows Setup Box file from this site and opened up the 8.1 Setup. I entered in a TechNet 8.1 key when it asked for my product key. It said key checks out and proceeded to Getting a few things ready then says We can't connect right now...Check your Internet connection and try again.

Using the standard media creation tool to download Windows installation is only one possible option. If you have a problem with it, try others. Windows can be downloaded on the Microsoft website or using the third-party tool Windows ISO Downloader.
