Windows 8.1 upgrade error: "We can't connect right now...Check your Internet connection and try again".

I downloaded the Windows Setup Box file from this site and opened up the 8.1 Setup. I entered in a TechNet 8.1 key when it asked for my product key. It said key checks out and proceeded to Getting a few things ready then says We can't connect right now...Check your Internet connection and try again.
