System File Checker unable to fix corrupt files

My system (win 8.1) is pretty stable but the search function has been spotty.
Troubleshooter reported..."Windows search service not running -- not fixed"...

thus I ran sfc /scannow....which reported:

"Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
Note that logging is currently not supported in offline servicing scenarios."

Should I refresh 8.1 or leave well enough alone?

Did you check which folders have indexing enabled? It could be that some folders are indexed and some not. I disable indexing (the Windows Search Service) because it tends to take over the HD while it is indexing. I use the free search Everything Search. Note that it only works on NTFS partitions:
Everything Search Engine

If you just care about fixing the issue I would try running sfc /scannow two or three more times.
