Since the January updates for win 8.1 The task scheduler items under Microsoft Windows fail to start with the message Error Value 2147942403. Does anyone even have no clue as to what this message means? Microsoft tech support was of no help and apparently have no clue. The tasks show as being ready, but when I click run it says the task no longer exists and to refresh. when I refresh it shows the same task Scheduled and ready but it fails to run period. Every task scheduled in Task scheduler library under Microsoft Windows shows as attempted to start on schedule, but failed with this same error value 2147942403. I first noticed this when checking to see why System Restore points were not being created. However I can create restore points manually. Is there a way to fix this without refreshing my system? Will upgrading to Win 10 fix this? I began to notice all of this when the GWX desktop icon disappeared after I installed the January windows updates. I wanted to restore to before the Windows updates and found that there were no restore points on my system. Thanks for any help. This is driving me crazy.
