    Thanks for the reply.

Nope. The lines were not visible when the laptop was turned off. Some hours later, one of those lines disappeared. Then later, the other one. Now, there are no lines on the screen. I hope this issue doesn't come back later.

    Seriously is it a reflection??

Move the entire laptop to a well lit room and try that angle

No idea. I tried to view the laptop from every angle I can. Even changed the themes to see if that has something to do with theme. Everything seems normal.. for now.

Any idea what reflection could it be? The only thing I remember is that I used room spray before the day the lines appeared. Laptop was open, but I don't think that the spray could've gotten inside of it.

well.. just hope you don't see it again.. if it wasn't a crack or reflection, then that only next means pixels are going etc.. and of course that would be just a new screen.. but on a laptop that's not fun to pay for to exchange..

should i be worried about the pixel thing you mentioned? i don't know what it is, but it sounds something really bad.

it's just components and parts going bad for any reason.. heat, cheap craftsmanship, chinese parts haha.. that kind of thing..

but if you aren't seeing it anymore.. nothing to do..

i had overheating and battery issues in the past(both threads were here). had to import a battery from china. i hope that doesn't mean bad news for me.

    haha..

It's just a known fact that not only does everything come from China (hence all the "made in chine" tags) but it's also a Well-Known Fact that the chinese can and do work for cheaper costs.. They also are good at copying technology or using less quality manufacturing processes and materials to make things..

I'm sure you know all this already..

But that's why every singe thing you see on Ebay or Amazon whenever you are looking for a replacement like the battery etc.. is some off-name no-name brand from china..

I also just experienced this and guess what.. I bought a backup power adapter and it caused flickering white lines to appear on my screen whenever I explicitly plugged in that "cheaper" power adapter..

Solved Install straight to 8.1? in Installation & Setup
Hi, I have a Windows 8 key, but I want to install straight to 8.1 when I rebuild this machine. As far as I know I can't use the Microsoft tool for creating installation media because you need an 8.1 key, not an 8 key (which for some reason is different? No idea why though). I'd rather not have...

I don't have a use at all for the metro screen. It's not a big deal as it only takes a click to get to the desktop, but it would be nicer if I had the choice of just going straight there. Do I? I've right clicked all over the place looking for an option like that. Haven't been able to find it.
