My computer constantly freezes, crashes, Windows is constantly not responding. What is going on? Sometimes the webpage goes white. Sometimes reboot helps.

Hi teak,

Such performance issues have a lot of causes.
Please fill in your system specs to start with, they might be necessary.
Please go to this site and download the tool. The tool will give you detailed information about your system specs, please fill in your system specs more completely.​

Please scan your system with Malwarebytes (uncheck trial version in the installation), your Anti-Virus program, Adwcleaner and Junkware Removal Tool (end as much programs as you can to prevent problems)

Please try the following:
  • Open an admin command prompt
  • Copy/paste "sfc/scannow" (without quotes) and press enter
  • When it finished reboot your system
  • Open again an admin command prompt
  • Enter sfc/scannow again
If sfc/scannow does NOT say "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violation", please upload the cbs.log file located at {windows partition}\Windows\Logs\CBS\, if the file is too large try a 3rd party uploader like dropbox, onedrive, google drive, mediafire etc.
System File Check(SFC a.k.a. Windows Resource Protection) needs to have your system rebooted in order for sfc to try to fix the problems that it finds.

You want to remove a virus your self if there is one? Good luck identifying.
You want to go through every system file that is corrupt or find out there is 1 missing that could cause this? Good luck finding them.

There are so many things that could cause performance issues, like a connected hard drive that is broken or software that gives problems or software installed without your knowledge. We can't just say what the cause is, because we have nothing specific to help you with because we don't know what happened with the PC.

EDIT: the software we recommend is certainly not for the sale, the software is free to use.
