Switching Between Users Problem

I have 2 Windows 8.1 PCs and have the same problem on both. When I switch from one user account to another then back to the original account, I just get the rotating circle and can't do anything. The problem is solved by logging off and on again. SFC /SCANNOW shows no problems.

Has anyone any ideas on what may be the problem?

Could be something running that's causing it to hang?? You might see how switching between users works while troubleshooting with a clean boot.

If that doesn't yield any results, then a repair install should be able to sort it without losing anything.
