Ran sfc /scannow.
No errors.
Looked at the CBS log & found the .json files were gone.
Maybe the latest Windows Updates fixed things ?

The only update that I had that I think would resolve this is KB3075249.

I purposefully did NOT install that update yet the "utc" and "telemetry" errors have disappeared - a week or two ago (but I'm now running a system restored from a August 17th image backup that itself was restored from a July 29th image backup so actually I have no idea when they disappeared.

In other news, the Security Protection Platform appears to have stopped doing its every-2-minutes licensing check today. This is the one that first does something like:
Code:
Initialization status for service objects.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\sppwinob.dll, msft:spp/windowsfunctionality/agent/7.0, 0x00000000, 0x00000000

then for the next event reports:

Well - those have stopped...I have not yet checked log files to see what could have been automatically downloaded and installed to stop that; I suspect instead Microsoft finally did something on their end (since many people on the 'Net have mentioned the same log entries).

There are more possible updates that could have fixed the .json files, but I wouldn't have noticed because I have removed the update that caused it a long time ago.
