I was looking at this home edition but, wanted to get some opinions vs the free edition as I plan to upgrade motherboards later on and would like to use the saved image I have the free v6 now. Macrium Reflect for Home Use Thanks! :)

I have the paid, 3 PC, version. I originally tried the free version and liked it and then bought it.

I had used Acronis True Image before, but Acronis failed me twice (with valid disc images) and it didn't get a third chance.

:ditto: I have bought 4 Pro versions, then with Ver 6 no more pro but still all the features. Far better than Acronis

Macrium is $69, AOMEI Backupper is $49 and has the same functions. I'm playing with it now and if I can get eh E-mail notification to work I think I'll go with them rather than Macrium.

I was able to install Macrium Pro (or whatever it's called now) 30 day trial and setup E-mail notification immediately with no problem. No luck with AOMEI notification yet though. I may go to Macrium yet.

I don't see the point in adding a boot time recovery choice since it's so easy to boot a USB flash drive when needed to restore a backup image. It is convenient but I use it so seldom it's not worth it.

Sounds like you got a good deal. :)

Yeah, I keep meaning to give it a try but haven't got around to it yet.

I like the idea of not having to use the rescue CD/USB.

The free version has been great+++ here. After a while got the paid version, mainly to support and renumerate the company, for providing such a solid and useful software.

Yep or wait for discounts they have them pretty often. I got my 4 Pro version at 40% off and they updated to ver 6 for free

EDIT: just check around here is a coupon for Aug 2015 50% off Macrium Software Promo Code August 2015: Get w/ Macrium Software Promo Codes

Where did you see Macrium Home Reflect at 50% off? I checked the link you posted but cannot find it.

"Yep or wait for discounts they have them pretty often. I got my 4 Pro version at 40% off and they updated to ver 6 for free" Did you mean AOMEI or Macrium? Usually when do they have discounts?
