Loud fan noise when playing games

I am currently experiencing a loud fan noise whenever I play any games. This fan sound worries me as my previous laptop which is lower spec, doesn't produce the sort of loud sound from the fan. I went through everywhere related to system cooling and thermal framework settings in the power settings but still cannot reduce the fan noise while playing games. I hope anyone would be kind of you to solve this problem that has been worrying me these days. Below are the specs of my laptop.

    HP Pavilion 15 ab-071tx
    Windows 8.1
Intel core i7 5th gen processor at 2.4Ghz
    8GB RAM
    GeForce 940M

the noise that your fan generates would mean it's working hard to cool your computer.. this is good..

unless your fan is making clicking or sounds/noises that give you the inclination that your fans are broken or somehow screeching or the ball bearings need oil or perhaps there is too much dust in the vents,

then your only option is to deal with the noise of a fan..

For some reason, Laptop manufactures these days are letting go of quality product design and pushing little tiny plastic houses with hot CPU and hard drives and Memory and big hot Video cards..

If you haven't read up on this go ahead and have a loo at Lenovo's and what they are dealing with! I also have a Lenovo laptop and the funniest story is that I literally have to have my fan blasting at full speed.. It's not really bothering me but the sound of air being pushed is there.. but it doesn't kill me.. but thats me..

If I don't run my fan at full speed, my little plastic piece of heat just turns off and doesn't perform adequately.. Your lucky you got HP which hopefully doesn't do what Lenovo does to their customers on $1000 laptops by the way! the injected major restrictions to the laptop which cause it to not be able to even use the hardware inside of it because it's too hot.. hence why my fan is running at constant full speed 24/7.. Lenovo by the way even put a restriction on the way the fan works and I can't use it the way I want to to cool my computer! So the funny story is I cut a wire that controls the fan speed and now my consequence is that my fan starts up full speed noise and all right when I turn on the power.. but my temperature of my laptop is ok now! haha.

will this probably ruin the fan? yes and no.. the fans are designed to run for very long periods of time and I am putting that to the test and have yet to have a fan break on me.. (that doesn't mean it doesnt happen.. but then you just replace a fan! and thats not terrible..)

so the point is, I dont know how bad the noise is of your fan.. but you could try recording it with your phone or whatever and post it up to hear.. but as long as it's not chirping or screeching like its stuck or anything, you should be darn proud you got a laptop with a working fan that can go full speed..

And by the way, you do not want to slow down your fan.. some people try to do that with programs but you realize your just allowing heat to build up even more and that is the cause of many electronic failures.. heat..

    hope this helps..

little things you may be able to try is turn off your computer and find the vents.. and use a air compressed blower (bottled) and hold it upright and blow the crap out of the vents to get dust out of them..

other than that, only a newer fan that was designed to be quieter would solve your issue..

oh and forgot to mention never slow down or limit your system because of fan noise.. that's ridiculous to me because you paid for a system with a certain CPU and Speed and now your lowering what you paid for because of a noise that bothers you with a fan that was pre-installed in your system..

I mean yes fan noise isn't the most fun thing to listen to.. but it's doing a job that helps dissapate heat like the thermal paste on your laptop is as well.. I'm sure this isn't worth it but you could have a professional replace the thermal paste on your CPU and video card and motherboard and that may help your fans speed lower but it's definitely not worth it for you unless you are a hard-core game guy and just want to spend money on doing that..

I don't know of a fan design that is extremely quite.. there may be one out there.. but that would be the only next solution.. buy a fan and install it in your motherboard -hopefully it fits!- and then the noise would be lower as its a better design and newer fan.. .

but yeah, these are kinda ridiculous solutions but i'm just telling you the options..

What you said made a lot of sense. So i should just bear with it. Somehow my temporary solution is just trying to set my graphics to minimum in my games. I also suspect it coming from HP software which is called HP cool sense. Not sure how it actually work the fan. Thank you so much for spending your time on that passionate reply haha though haha.
