When the screen want to capture on the desktop, press Ctrl +print screen. Go to paint program open it, left click center of blank area, at top menu bar click Paste, under File on menu bar select, save as, put it in pictures folder. In the reply to post select icon above say insert image, then select to where it is on your PC Upload it. Give us a task manager start tab screen shot.

Windows updates sometimes seems to stall at 0% for a while and suddenly jumps. As long as you see the progress bar changing color across then it is working.

Next, I suggest to download: WhatInStartup - Disable/delete programs at Windows startup
Again. This program is small and does not need to install. Run it, The result will be almost identical to what you see in the Task Manager. However, It does show you detailed info about each entry in the startup, where is it located in the HD and in the registry, who develops it etc... Right click on it->Google, you'll even get more details and recommendation whether you need it or not.

In addition, Download Startup Delay Time - Reduce in Windows 8 and merge it into the registry.

    Please report back again. Thanks

Windows Paint is good to paste your screen capture in.
    I used it for years.
Now I use the Desktop app from Postimage.org - free image hosting / image upload

I keep it on the Taskbar for ease of use.

To get a screenshot I press the Print Screen key or ALT+Print Screen-{for active window} & click the Post Image icon-

When I'm done with it I click "Upload" & it is uploaded & a dialog window appears where I can copy the image's url-

In the upload window I copy the address-

Then here I click the "Insert Image" icon--

& paste in the copied url & attach it--

I have the image type set as .jpg in the Post Image settings-

Hope this helps you to post screenshots.

After trying 3 times to download updates to Window's 18.1 and having it not start I did a shurdown restart. Who knew one of the times even tho the progress bar was not moving it WAS installed. One more thing off my list.

I will download the programs you suggested. Thanks guys.....

    OK.
There is a free version & a paid version.
I use the paid version because it keeps all of my uploaded images forever.
The free version is good too, though limited in function.
    It was cheap.
