It is happening to me too. I how to delay the Microsoft windows not responding thing is to allow it to sleep. Another thing that I'm thinking is that leaving a program open like google chrome or minecraft while the PC is idle for a while may be causing it.

I think my computer automatically sleeps if left idle for 1 minute. Whenever I stop using it, I close all open windows. I think my freezes have gone down for now, but I'll remember to make sure it's not left "awake".

Well I didn't think it would happen again, but it did. Multiple times, even. I didn't post about the first few times because I hoped it would just stop, but of course it wouldn't do that. Leaving the computer and waiting for the freeze to end works, but is way too frustrating if I need to do work on a regular basis.

I hate it when it happens. I've found out that even a program in the task bar running while idle for a while (For example: Scanning anti-virus) If I leave minecraft open, it's sure to happen. Same with idle while having an anti-virus scan my pc.

Yeah, it's one of the only problems I've encountered with this computer, and it's the most annoying one. I'm really hoping something can be done soon. Well, it's been nearly a month since this began so I don't know what to think now.

I've found that for some reason, in some cases, pressing the "Auto Adjustment" button (which automatically adjusts my screen to fit the monitor) stops the freeze. In other cases it doesn't help at all. During one freeze I tried the Auto Adjust method and it didn't work, but then I accidentally pressed on of the option buttons on the monitor and the computer unfroze.

I believe the fixes I have found so far are related to changing the display. This is because another thing I found was when the computer display automatically turns off (this value is customizable in Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options\Edit Plan Settings), the freeze usually stops.

I'm still unsure what is causing the 100% disk freezes. I did read somewhere that disk problems can be related to registry corruptions, and when I was trying to get the Reserve Windows 10 icon to show up I do recall going to the GWX.exe registry or something along those lines.

Sounds like a corrupted video driver(but to be honest I'm not quite sure). You could try updating or a repair install of your video drivers by going to manufacturers sit and downloading the correct ones for your PC's model. If that doesn't help, you can always get the generic ones from Intel or AMD which ever you have.
