Is that the default for my computer?

Default is usually Auto and it should stay at 100 MHz which is default for any PCIe. What happens sometimes when overclocking or turbo kicks in that value can jump so when you set at 100 MHz manually, it should stay there at 100.

Alright, I'll see if I can make sure it's the right setting.

Hm, I went to the BIOS settings but couldn't find a "PCIe frequency". I know it might not have been that exact name but I didn't know what else to look for. There were, I believe, about 5 or 6 different PCIe settings.

It's been a long time since my last post and it seems the computer is now occasionally freezing and soon after recovering with a message along the lines of "Intel HD graphics driver has stopped responding and has successfully recovered." There are still the OTHER freezes where it says "Microsoft Windows is not responding". Should I just get a new graphics card at this point? If I recall correctly this thread narrowed it down to something with the graphics drivers.

Try changing drivers first. Clean old drivers out with: Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 15.7.2.2 before installing another.

Do you mean I should clean my current drivers and see if it fixes the problem, or that I should get a new graphics card but first clean/remove the existing ones?

Yes, clean current drivers with DDU and install drivers again.

Sorry for the late response, the last few weeks were extremely busy for me. I searched up DDU and it seems to have mixed opinions. Some say it helped their problems and others say it's extremely risky to use a driver cleaner.

Well, some say it's risky to cross a street.
