High RAM usage in windows 8.1. Can't find source.

This suddenly happened one day, my memory usage is currently over 65% with nothing open, I have 8gb of DDR3 Ram.
Here's a picture of the task manager.Click image for larger version

And here are a couple pictures from RAMMAP Click image for larger version Click image for larger version

There are 5GB of RAM being used by something and I can't tell what it is.
Would really appreciate some help here.

Edit: I've ran a scan with Malwarebytes aswell as another scan with Clamwin. So I doubt it's a virus.

There you go. It claims it's 800mhz for some reason, it's actually 1600mhz.Click image for larger version

    I blame Chrome sir.

Can you get a second opinion?

    1. Download and install Process Hacker.
    2. DO NOT select the option that would cause it replace the windows task manager.
    3. DO select the option to allow it to install as a service.
    4. Open Process Hacker and under the [Processes] tab, sort by Private Bytes.

Post that pic and let us take a look.

Also, I wish my system would do this.

I have 2.5 GB or RAM being used with the rest being idle. I can't even copy files the way I want to. Files always slow down and still the idle RAM just sits idly by.

Are you sure the memory is idle?
The memory graph can be misleading in that it does not show full memory usage. All memory that is not labeled as "Free" is actually in use. In most situations the amount of free memory is quite low and a graph that showed full usage would be neither useful or interesting. In any event throwing more memory at a file copy is unlikely to be of much benefit.

You are correct. I apparently have less than 200 MB of memory that's actually free, per Resource Monitor.

How can I get my system to actually copy files quickly then? Is it the write speed that is slow?

I don't understand. It starts out at 60 MB/s and then slows to 10 MB/s. Why is that?
    Apologies for hijacking this thread.

I actually have this question posed in a thread here:
How Do I Minimize The Amount Of Page Faults For Programs?
and would welcome your comments on the issue there.

Pardon me if I missed the mention of it but is the computer a Desktop or a Notebook/Laptop? If it's a Notebook, most have something like a speedstep that throttles the CPU speed in the interest of battery charge duration. I tend to use Power Options to make it more like a Desktop or Always on then reboot.
