CCleaner Question

Hello,
When I clean my Registry I'm given the option of " backing up" which I always do since I'm paranoid and don't fully understand what I'm doing.
So my question is...at what time is it safe to delete these backup files?

First off not necessary to clean the registry as will not improve performance or anything else. Believe it backups what it took out of registry and if doing this should make a system restore point before. If see no effects from it over period of time may be save to delete this backup or can save it to a flash drive. CCleaner registry tool is safer then most i admit. Best be familiar with what you removing.

when you're sure than your system is running well and Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup&sfc/scannow&Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth&sfc/scannow&pause comes up clean(with the exception of utc.app.json from the DiagTracking which will show up if you have that update installed)

Cliff, I have no idea how to do this test with windows 8.1
