Ok guys, I have a USB 3 hub (Sabrent, 4 port, not powered), and a USB 3 flash drive. When I plug in the flash drive straight into the PC (Asrock z77 Pro 4 mobo), it works great. 50mb write and 160-170 read. When I plug it into the hub (Hub plugged into the same spot the drive was), things look great, but then all of a sudden the speeds will drop down to zero for a few seconds, sometime much longer. This happens much more often with writing to the flash drive than reading, but it happens regardless. Same thing happens on a totally different pc (Lenovo y410p laptop - also running win8.1). But if I plug it into a Windows 7 PC with USB 3, no issues. Great speeds consistently all day long.
Caching is disabled, just so you know. I've also tried replacing the hub, the new (same model) hub, has the same issue - leading me to believe that this is a Windows 8/8.1 USB 3 driver issue.
Help, please. This is infuriating.
