SSD, RAMDisk, Pagefile & Cache

Hey!

I'm in a process of setting up my new system and moving from Win 7 to Win 8.1. I was more or less folowing this guide to optimize my SSD, but once I got to the pagefile bit, I remembered that my MoBo has built-in RAMDisc functionality and I figured I could use that to store my Pagefile, instead of disabling it alltogather.

I created 6GB (out of my 16GB) FAT32 RAMDisk and allocated browser Ceche files as well as Temp there (using MoBo program) and am now wondering if I should create my only pagefile there as well. I've found this article advocating against it, but frankly the author could speak Chineese there - I'm not sure I understand it.

So my questions are:

What should I do about the paging file?

Should I auto- backup/restore my RAMDisc or not?

Can CPU and/or RAM overclock be negatively affected by use of RAmDisk?

Is whole thing even worth it?

Thanks in advance,

Emnel

Yea, not sure its worth the hassle, SSD are very fast. Samsung has Rapid mode which pretty much does the same thing. were mostly not using it due to medium risk of losing data. Any freeze, lock up, BSOD, you'll lose any data in that ram disk as it won't be able to write it to disk.
I have 16 GB of Ram so I don't use page file
Insuring Trim is working, These latest SSD don't really need much tweaking Samsung and Intel SSD all come with software to insure your set up correctly.
I'm using far less than 100 GB of my 256 GB so I have given up 25GB for Over Provisioning, Garbage collection this is not really necessary now days but I really don't need the space. I leave it unallocated.
