    sfc /scannow not repairing corruptions

I am running Windows 8.1 and, after running sfc /scannow am returned a message:
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.

I am attaching the CBS log. I tried running DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth but that did not solve the issue. I have read that sometimes sfc /scannow must be run multiple times with restarts to resolve issues, but wasn't sure if this was the exception or the rule. Can anyone offer insight or suggestions?

    Many thanks.

    Hi,

Could you tell us about the effects on your system ? , application hangs, freezes, rebooting problems,....etc. If you system has become highly unstable my first option would be to run a backup of my data and reinstall Windows

Please open the Admin Command Prompt, copy and paste the line below and run:
    Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup&sfc/scannow&Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth&sfc/scannow&pause

So in response to parallax, I have been having pretty regular issues with Windows Update - updates not downloading or freezing during download. I have tried repairing Windows Update myself and have had Microsoft support work on it via remote access, but really have seen only sporadic improvement.
I happened to run sfc /scannow a few months ago and had errors that were repaired by MS tech support - this time no luck, at least so far. i am going to try topgun's suggestion once I am back at home and have access to my machine.

You can check WindowsUpdate.log file which is usually located at C:\Windows and see what´s the problem.

You may also check Windows Event Viewer to see what all events on your computer. To do this: Right click on "This Pc" / Management / Event Viewer / Windows Logs. The ones which matter are "System" and "Application".

I had to uninstall KB3022345 to fix that problem on my win 8.1 and win 7 systems. sfc /scannow ran fine when I removed that patch. See if you have it installed.

Personally, I do not trust very much in Windows Update :/
