    OC my new CPU/MOBO

    Hello,

So i recently started watching how to overclock CPUīs and have done it and i am curious if you more experienced guys can tell me if it will be ok. Just to say i am not looking to get the PERFECT results just a little more GHZ than my normal settings. I have a B85M-G MOBO Motherboards | B85M-G | ASUS Global and G3258 CPU ARK | IntelŪ PentiumŪ Processor G3258 (3M Cache, 3.20 GHz)

My normal CPU is at 3.20 GHz and i have OCīd it to 4.2 GHz and 1.295 Vcore and i made a screen of my results, but here it was just for 3 min, i tested it for 1 hour straight and basically same stats. My heat doesnīt go over 90 even after 1 hour and here outside its 30 degrees. It doesnīt shutdown or go bluescreen, only sometimes the sound of my CPU changes but nothing dramatical.

@4.2, you can try to lower the core voltage a little bit to bring down the temp. However, it does look good to me. As long as it does not exceed 90 then you are fine.
    Here's mine @4.2:

Ok thank you iīll lower the voltage a little like you to 1208 and see what happens, i donīt know if i should go for 4.5 because at 4.6 i get bluescreen and error msg,btw 4.5 works. Itīs just that iīve never done this earlier and get scared if i over do it,but if everything runs ok with 4.2 for few days, maybe i try 4.5

there's not much difference between 4.2 and 4.6. The most important thing when OCing is temperature. Go as high as you can as long as you keep the temp in check & stable. I can go up to 4.6 but @4.2, I have the temp around 60 under stress so that's good enough.

NOTE: If you get error @4.5, you can try to set the RAM voltage a little bit higher than the spec & relax RAM Timing a little bit also
