My battery doesn't work. Yesterday I unpluged my charger when I was using Windows 8.1 by accident now it so slow. I have two windows 8.1 and 7 the problem is only in 8.1. I have tried chkdsk in safe mode but no luck. I have also tried sfc/scannow in safe mode but it stopped in the middle and turn a protection thing. I have tried scanning for viruses but it is still slow. I don't have system repair disc. I can't even enter task manager. I'm in safe mode right now

Some system files might be corrupted due to sudden shutdown. Boot to normal Windows and from the Admin command prompt, copy and paste the followings:
Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup&Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth&sfc/scannow&pause

You might need to have internet connection for DISM to do the repair if needed.

Download: CrystalDiskInfo6_3_2.zip - CrystalDiskInfo - SourceForge.JP , unzip and run to see if your HD is healthy.
The I/O device error indicates you might have corrupted/defected HD and in fact will cause the system to slow down and DISM/SFC to fail due to badly corrupted system files.
Open the Admin command prompt and type: chkdsk /r C:. System will reboot to run chkdsk on C: drive. This process will take a long time (hours) to complete and at times, it seems to stall at one spot. Just be patient and let it run.

I've seen cases that it took 30 Hours so nothing you can do but wait.
