Hello!

My computer is 6 months old desktop PC which I build by myself. I have had a one small problem for couple of weeks and now I decided to get rid of it. My computer is running Windows 8.1 operating system and sometimes in random situations the explorer.exe crashes and there comes this error message: Explorer.exe The instruction at "0x1b3c09e6" referenced memory at "0x00000008". The memory could not be "written". Click on OK to terminate the program. Good thing is that the explorer.exe restarts right away, but it's kinda annoying error.
I tried to google this specific error, but didn't find anything useful. Could someone please help me to fix this problem? :)

Does Explorer.exe work reliably in Safe Mode and Safe Mode with Networking? Related to Explorer.exe, does that side menu come up when you gently bump the right side of the display with the mouse? If no to both questions, you might have reached the point that I once reached. I sure hope not 'cause it will be ReInstall time.

I'll check those first when I'm able. I hope I would not need to Reinstall my windows this early :/

It could be caused by damaged system files or by some incompatible shell.

1. Disable all third party shells to see, if the problem persist. If not, re-enable one by one over time.

ShellExView - Shell Extension Manager For Windows

2. Perform system scans to fix corrupted files using SFC and DISM, either manually or use a batch file.
