    Disable c:\windows\winstore\wshost.exe Storebroker?

I get regular prompts by NIS Firewall showing that wshost.exe, Store Broker is trying to access the internet. Is this process essential for proper Windows funcionality? Can I disable it? If so, how? Thanks

Thanks, I did not understand this: "If you do not want to use Windows store, you may login to the local user account that will reduce the amount of CPU that is used by Windows Store and other online resources."

I think by "local user account", they mean an account without Administrator privileges. I guess that if you are an Admin, the Windows store is always ready to install stuff for you, and if you are not an admin, then it isn't ready to install stuff.

Nar, local account means not a Microsoft account.

Local Account - Switch to in Windows 8

Administrator or standard user is the type of account instead.

You cannot disable them and it is not suggested as well.
Well, if the user does not use MS store, he can safely disable them both. I did without problems.
Runtime Broker is a service called Time Broker, which can be disabled through registry.
As for the WSHost.exe - it is MS task, which can be disabled through Task Scheduler.

Why not disable it directly from Administrative Tools/Services? It's listed as you say, "Time Broker", description:"Coordinates execution of background work for WinRT application. If this service is stopped or disabled, then background work might not be triggered.", Path:"C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe -k LocalServiceAndNoImpersonation"

Weird, I checked Task Scheduler, found it as you describe, Status says "Ready" but Last Run Time says "Never". It seems wshost is triggered as reported by my firewall but Task Scheduler reports it never runs, how come?
