Overheating and shutting down when gaming

Hi,I've been experiencing an issue with my laptop,as the title says,it overheats whenever I play a game(Mostly with high resolution/graphics),and shuts down, and I have to wait a while for it to cool down before I can boot the laptop up again.
When I first got this laptop,I was able to play games for a few months without overheating, but all of a sudden it just started to overheat and shut down.

You reckon a cooling pad would help ?

When cleaning my computer I tape a straw to the crevice attachment of my vacuum cleaner.
    Good for cleaning tight places.

Clogged or dead fan most likely plus the heatsink paste may be dried out depending how old it is.

I'll try cleaning it up.Also whenever I play a game while the laptop is charging, the charging icon keeps lighting on and off again and again, and my game lags whenever that happens. This is the temperature and fan speed while I play a game.

    Edit:Also I was using a cooling pad.
