Slow bootup, may it be software?

My pc just randomly became really slow on bootup. I noticed that when I bootup every time I have to wait about 30seconds for an sound that indicates that something is plugged into the computer. Like if you plug in an usb. My normal processes wont start up before these two sounds appear.
Please help!
My specs are in my description.

IF you have a USB drive plugged into your PC, and that is an actual drive, not a USB stick, it's common for Windows to do a filesystem integrity check on that drive as part of startup. I find that if I have one of my external drives powered on (as, when I forget to turn one off), that Windows takes a LOT longer to start up than when the drives are not powered on. Is this the problem you're having?

Does your PC power up quickly if no USB drives are connected?
