Games folders: Root drive (SSD) vs. data drive (HDD).

In my opinion, games should be installed in SSD drive in order to benefit the decreased loading times. We would only get HDD speed if the games are installed in HDD drive.

Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

You're correct. However, games on an SSD do decrease the lifespan (due to the amount of writes), but most modern SSDs have such a long lifespan that it doesn't really matter anymore.

I use my SSD for OS and frequently used apps (MS Office, etc) and I load all games and applications on my 7200rpm WD hard drives and everything is fast!

You are correct. Everything should be installed to the SSD unless space is a consideration, or it's going to write many tens of GBs per day, day in and day out. That said, I believe it's still good to overprovision by 20% or so, or with TRIM active, just don't fill the drive above 80% capacity or so. I like the latter approach because it lets you approach full usage on a temporary basis, which can potentially be useful.
