Gfs acer on start up has 90 plus applications, should I just reformat? What's easiest route? Thanks for your time.

WOW!!! Reformatting would be the easiest solution instead of try to decipher what you need or do not need as start up.

It must take like forever to boot. Just "kill" everything but most essential ones like video and sound control, AV and such. Most of stuff can be started other way if needed.

The next time I boot up it will still run those programs. I was looking for something more permanent.

Don't forget to get you drivers from the manufacturer web site(best before hand and put the zip files on a USB stick/HDD.

No, they will not if you disable them in Task Manager > Startup.

You can enable it again if you find out that it's important, anyway, there's nothing there that would prevent windows from working. You can run Malwarebytes to check if any of those programs are PuPs, I can bet that there will be few of them that your Gf. "acquired" inadvertently.
