    Horrible performance lately

I am now on a temp low pc until I get my build
a CPU ; Celeron 3.00ghz single core ( I was with a Celeron E3400 @3.7) sadly my brother burnt it
    2gb ram
    gigabyte G41-s2pt
now I dont expect a good performance but It must work as it should
was working fine on XP then suddenly it works in one boot , the next boot wont work speaker gives me loop beeps
sometimes it works , sometimes wont until I found out it wont work until I move the heatsink a bit
now last week I lost internet connectivity , to find out that Atheros card has a yellow (!) it cant load
I did a clean install but is stuking at installing network every time
I ended up disable the card from bios
worked again for 2 weeks then
now the windows loading bar stops for about 5 sec then continue
it took 120 sec to boot
5 sec to open a folder . 10 sec to open an exe file or song
tried all solutions as CMOS and resetting now what? sorry for long story

I have had things like this happen before. Now the bad news was for me, new motherboard.

Something is not assembled right there, should not be able to move CPU heat-sink at all, might be it's overheating.
    Do memory checks.
    Check all the cables
    Check HDD
    Check drivers.
    Defrag HDD
    "Kill" all unneeded startup programs.
Two minutes to BOOT is not too bad for that machine but opening programs and files points to HDD errors or extreme fragmentation.

Defrag and optimize HDD anyway, just to get that out of equation.
Try to boot and use computer with internet disabled.
If it's running better with case opened "smells" like overheating, probably CPU, can you re seat it with new paste and make sure cooler is tight on it ?

Solved it yesterday I will posts to help others
now every time I load the default it wont help , I remembered I surley saw a setting in BIOS called
load Fail-Safe defaults , I knew this option was hidding something
so I loaded it the motherboared restarted
then erasing the BIOS automatically then restarted then obtained a new version from the backup chip
the final restart It reached the desktop within 10 sec ! then windows scanned for hardware changes
then Atheros LAN came back and all is good for now
so my problem was a corrupted BIOS , this is my experience
if anyone need help we can help here , just post your problem
    thanks
