You have to destroy(delete) all partitions on disk 0 then reformat to NTFS. A good tool is GParted, or if you're experienced with CLI use command prompt in WinPe. Gparted is easier being visual. just go here to find the latest ISO, pick live usb or dvd and burn it. Then boot into it, and then pick all partitions to delete and reformat entire disk to NTFS. When complete shutdown, swap out GParted for recovery media(USB or better system image) and then reboot. p.s a copy of GParted also comes with ubuntu based OSs.

Thank you Cliff S for you kind information, however i got success in loading the the windows 8.1 ios but in mean time it says 'windows cannot be installed on drive 0 partition 1' windows can only be installed to GPT disk. I tried a lot to convert some space of drive into MBR i got failed, i need your suggestion on this one. is there any simple way to convert MBR to GPT. Thank you again for your reply.

A couple other questions first...I noticed your disk 0 has two partitions a 20GB and a 277GB what's on them? Are they both empty? And is disk 1 your install media?

From the 2nd screen of your post #3. High light each partition and click on delete. You'll end up with one single unallocated disk 0. Click on next and let windows installation manage the partitions creation then install Windows.

That's excactly where I was headed but needed to know if it was a data disk on the 277GB partition from the last windows installation.

i partitioned disk 0 into 2 , one is around 20 gb and other is 277 gb. but when i try to convert 20 gb space into GPT to install windows there it doesnt show in command prompt, its just shows 298 gb together in disk 0, i dont have anything there as I formatted many times, and yeah disk 1 is install media. i spent whole night trying to fix this one, still not got success
