    I found this:

Why is my C: drive on Disk1 and E: on Disk0 and is that bad?

So, not sure that swapping the SATA cables will do anything.

It's worth a try to see if it may toggle the drive to be recognized to save an image to again.

I might be onto something here.

I found a site (How to Create and Restore System Image Backups on Windows 8.1) which told me how to run the system image back up from a powershell command,

wbAdmin start backup -backupTarget:E: -include:C: -allCritical -quiet

however, when I run it I get this screen:

So, it looks like my C: and E: drives are somehow linked? They are not both called "Programs" though, E: is called "Programs" but C: is called "Local Disk".

How could this happen? And more importantly, how do I stop it!

    I followed the advice here:

Windows 7 System Image Backup Problem Fix In My Travels

and found that the entry for EA Games' Origin was pointing to E:

Uninstalled Origin, and now all is working fine.
