Hello friends, I am having problems with my operating system recently installed windows 8.1 pro, but the ram is raised without stopping .. no matter whether or not running processes, even if I have the machine without even the memory activity continues ..

I have 14GB of DDR3 1333Mhz Ram

I even doing nothing appears to have 65% of memory in use, The operating system, I have original and have already installed all windows updates.

Welcome to Eight-Forums,

Check in Task Manager in process tab, go down list see if you spot anything using a lot of memory first.
Also check the Startup tab See what is starting up when PC boots and runs afterwards, if can eliminate some.
Check the Details tab see what is running amounts of RAM being used.

Is this where you are seeing it ? Happen soon as you boot to desktop ? As you say it never stops ?Must be one or few programs doing this.

Add any new programs since install of Windows 8.1 Pro ? Have a good anti-virus run a full system scan.

That's normal. Why would it be a problem, RAM is meant to be used. The cached bit would be moved out of RAM if a program required to use the RAM.

It's not entirely clear as to what you are referring to.

It would help if you could post a snip of your Resource Monitor > Memory tab.

The problem starts when I use multiple tabs in browsers, starts to consume memory, as if there were some kind of leak.

When this happens, there is no way to reduce the ram, the only way to return to normal is restarting the computer

Is it "normal" that memory is consumed when there are tasks that require it, but it is not possible that the memory stays closed so using this application.

Example: If I run photoshop.exe memory consuming 1.5GB is in use, then when I close the application, the memory is still consumed.

Just restart the computer, and since the cache is in almost 10gb

The screenshot looks good.

A high value for cached memory is good, very good. Almost all of this is available to any application that needs it and in the meantime it is serving a useful purpose. The memory manager always tries to use as much memory as possible for a useful purpose, the cache being a large part of it. Free memory is wasted memory. The ideal would be zero free memory at all times but we are not there yet.

If you have a problem the screenshot does not show it.

I would agree with all of explanations. unless there are "Lo memory" warnings from various programs, there is nothing to worry about. All of those free RAM "problems" stem from XP and before when RAM was not released properly by system. Remember all of tweaks like "always unload .DLLs" etc.
