Pinned Items Disappearing

I have a problem with pinned items disppearing on me. It only happens with the File Explorer pinned items. About once a week, nearly all of them disappear (the only one that stays is one I use nearly everyday, it's at the very top of the list).
I do use CCleaner, I read it affects the pinned. I use it rarely (once a month or two), but the pinned don't disappear immediately after. The first time it happened, I found out that turning off Auto Maintenance helps. I did that, and the problem disappeared for a few months. It came back recently, despite the Auto Maintenance still being off.
Please help, I'd really appreciate some advice.

do you mean disappear from the recent list when you right click on the pinned file manager icon on the taskbar .[they would not be considered pinned items ]if so that would get removed in many ways ,and yes ccleaner would be one if it was set to clean recent documents in windows explorer .as would other tools used like windows disk cleanup, iam not sure exactly how you would fix it but I guess making sure that "windows explorer recent files" is uncheck in all program that do this type of cleanup

No, I don't mean my Recent List. I mean my Pinned Items, the ones above the Recent List that I had to right-click and chose "Pin to this list". Those are the problem ones.
Any ideas?

Right click any folder on your Recent List and you'll see the option 'Pin to this list'. It'll be right there, much easier to use than desktop shortcuts, in my opinion.

Right-click the File Explorer icon in your taskbar (the one at the bottom, the icon should be on the left). The list of recently visited folders will appear, and you just have to right-click any of them. The option 'Pin to this list' is right there.
I guess you won't see that option if your File Explorer isn't on your taskbar.
