    C:\Windows file for backup

    hi all,

Is there anything worth saving in the C:\Windows backup file, or is it all just libraries and binaries? Are there any settings or configuration stored in the folder?

Several registry files are located in C:\Windows\System32\Config but there is little point in backing it up separately as you can't realistically restore it in isolation.

I would suggest you make system images of everything every so often and then backup your user data more frequently. There are many tools for making system images - Macrium Reflect FREE Edition - Information and download is quite popular.
