Download CoreTemp and keep an eye on your CPU temparatures, you could even use its inbuilt overheating protection feature, set it up at lets say 85C,have it myself steup like this.If framework give you trouble installing CoreTemp, you might give HWMonitor a go,trusty application.
I'm not sure if I should uninstall the 'Value Added Package' because I heard it functions some of TOSHIBA's components and I don't want to mess it up, is that confirmable? I really love my laptop and I am a gamer as well

Did you follow instructions about them startup Toshiba services? We will get to VAP sooner or later, you could always reinstall it via Toshiba Value Added Package (64bit).
