Hello good ppl of this forum!

I'm looking for a way to automatically shutdown PC at midnight and turn it back on at 16h during work days (while I'm at work). Is there a way to do that in the built-in scheduler or is there an app for that?

Weekends are fine as they are now, I'm looking only for the solution for workdays..

Cheers!

The shutdown can be done with the Scheduler, have it launch at midnight and do a shutdown /s /f /t 0.

No idea on the power on though, maybe a BIOS setting.

My desktop PC's have a Power On By RTC, setting in the BIOS. You Enable it and set the time you want the PC to turn on at. There should be an "Every Day" setting. There may even be a Mon to Fri setting. You should find it in the power options, same section as Wake on LAN, and Wake on Ring.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll look into BIOS options first (well it's free) :D If not I'll give that app a go!

Cheers!
