Win 8 CP taskbar display oddity

You can see on my taskbar 10 blank windows. There is nothing open though. Clicking any one of them makes them vanish.

Someone else reported this while having iTunes open. You didn't say you had iTunes open, I'm just providing info.

Because 32-bit app have to convert to 64-bit app, and the blank window is mean tht you open a lot of 32-bit apps. Try to close any apps in your systray

I installed the official MS 7 Ultimate theme pack. You know, the one with all the desktop background colors that switch the wallpaper on a timer.

Every time the wallpaper changes, I get one of those superbar icons like you, until I click it or the icon for any other open program. It then goes away.

Because wallpaper change need to open with a .dll file, and it's shown as blank window, and then when .dll file closed, the blank window goes away.
And about iTunes, iTunes have a lot of .dll module, and it's shown as a lot of blank window

Probably a good explanation there. I buy it. MS should disable the .dll from opening an icon/windows whatever they're called, on the superbar for them.

Whenever Windows 8 open any 32-bit apps that use .dll file (rundll32.exe), it shows as blank window
