Unallocated space ?

I have about 17 GBs unallocated space.

Is it there for some vital OS function or can I allocate it to my C:\ drive ?

If so, what would be the easiest method ?

David, is that a remnant OS recovery partition? About the right size. Regardless, on the end like it is will be tricky to move it into your main partition without messing things up.

Nice to see you here. :)

I have no idea.
Hence my post.
It shows up in Macrium too---

I have no knowledge of partitions at all. :(

Well, since you aren't using it, really doesn't matter what it is. If you want to absorb it into your main partition then it is a stepping stone thing. You have to first expand 6 into it, then shrink 6 and expand 5 into it, and so on to 4. It gets tricky and people have run into serious problems doing such moves.

What do you want to do? As always, image first.

Just made a Macrium image. :)

This sounds like something I should not mess with.
My computer has 90% free space anyways.

Like our brains.
We use 10% & the other 90% is like free space on a computer, IMO.

That sounds yummy. I like V8 but who knows if it is really any good for the body. Too many additives.

Throwing fresh veggies into a blender is supposed to be the best.

Hello david,
If you wish, you can move the partitions using Macrium as shown:
Note: Click on each partion that you want to delete on the bottom row then click on delete existing partition underneath each partition then you can extend C: drive to include the unallocated partition.

NOTE: I assume you have a backup image before you try this.

Or you can move and merge the partition using MiniTool Partition Wizard

It is free and saves deleting and coping partitions around.

Nothing is being deleted. From the screen shot, the top row is the layout of the image on how it was backup. On the bottom row is the layout of how it will restore to his physical disk so deleteing anything on the bottom row is just deleting the layout (not physically delete) so if you want to rearrange the partitions differently by moving them around before Macrium actually do the restore to the physical disk.
Hope it clears up the confusion on how Macrium works.

You have the Pro version.

I do not.--

I tried hard to get this to work but have gotten nowhere.

Either I need the Pro version{$59} or I'm just too stupid to figure it out. :(
