Reliability Monitor several weeks behind true date always

I have a desktop PC and Laptop both running Windows 8. The desktop PC has never presented an issue. Reliability Monitor on my laptop, however, always displays a date that is several weeks behind the true date. Today, it displays July 7th. The clock and date are correct on the laptop. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon? Is there a fix?

I declined to use the batch file that is often recommended to reset Reliability Monitor - it was not that important an issue. Something interesting has occurred, however:
I had let lapse a number of Windows Updates on my laptop. I resolved to open it more frequently and keep a better maintenance regime - it is largely a reserve for my desktop PC. In doing so, and selecting batches of Windows Updates at a time over several days, I noticed the Reliability Monitor often advanced by five days at a stroke following updates but not otherwise. The Reliability Monitor date at the time was August 28th. It is now October 22nd - all while the true date has been in November. It is now five weeks behind. I shall be most interested to see over time whether it catches up!
