Alright so for some reason my computer has decided to give me a few warnings about low memory when playing tomb raider.
The thing I don't get about this is, I'm not even close to using all of my RAM.
I've never had any issues like this before, not even when running Skyrim, GMOD, FFXIV ARR all at the same time, and it just seems to be with tomb raider. Anyone know what is going on?
Usually when you get a low memory error, it's from either your page file is not set to be managed by the system, page file not set high enough, and/or your Windows C: drive is low on free space.
It is set to be managed by the system, not sure if it's high enough (I should think it would be) and I have 400GB free on my C: drive. I do see it says something about recommended 5xxx and it currently has 2xxx allocated or something, would the problem be me needing to set a custom and having it above the 5xxx number?
Been looking into it and it seems many other 8.1 users playing the game are having the same issue due to something with the game. Looks like the only solution is to put up with it appearing every once in awhile. At least it seems there is nothing wrong with my system.
That warning has always been more or less generic warning and does not necessarily mean what it implies. Usually it happens when a poorly designed or incompatible program tries to access memory mapped for another program, driver etc. or by Windows itself.
