    /restorehealth Error: 0x800f0906

When I run the commands Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth and Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth, it tells me that the component store is repairable.
    But when I do
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth i get error
0x800f0906 saying "the source files could not be downloaded. Use the "source" option to specify the location of the files that are required to restore the feature."

Also when i run sfc.exe /scannow it says "windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them."

Perhaps use gpedit.msc to change the dism download source to Windows Update:

    Then:

    It might help.

I ran into one of your post yesterday trying to figure out this problem but when i searched for gpedit.msc, nothing could be found. So now i had to download a group policy editor installer. Got it up and working but i don't see that setting under system.

just noticed i'm not in "local group policy editor" but just group policy, is that my problem?

Just type it into Run & press Enter or click OK:

    Then:

    It should be there.

Before i downloaded the group policy installer, if I type gpedit.msc in run, it just tells me there was no file to be found.

apparently its only for windows 8 pro

is there nothing else i can do?

I changed the dism download source to windows update using gpedit and still get this error saying "the source files could not be downloaded. Use the "source" option to specify the location of the files that are required to restore the feature."

    You could try:

    Reverting to WSUS:

or maybe running sfc /scannow a couple of times then dism.

    I know.
I suggested you might try changing it back to WSUS.
Sorry if the picture caused confusion.
